Registered Clinical Psychologist in Kathmandu, Nepal
I am Sulav Raj Upreti, MPhil, a Registered Clinical Psychologist (NHPC) based in Kathmandu. My work brings together psychotherapy — a deeper understanding of emotional and relational difficulties — and psychological assessment, where careful evaluation clarifies cognitive, developmental, emotional and behavioural functioning.

Psychotherapy, assessment and professional work — individually, with partners, in groups and with organisations.

“Psychotherapy is an exploration of the inner world. By bringing unconscious thoughts, feelings and patterns into awareness, we can begin to understand why we experience and relate to life in the ways we do — and create the possibility for meaningful change.”
Sulav Raj Upreti
We start with 4–6 evaluation sessions, meeting once or twice weekly. This helps both of us decide whether the therapeutic relationship is the right fit. Ask for a brief free consultation if not sure.
If we continue, sessions take place one to three times per week, with frequency adjusted to your needs. Our work focuses on understanding your inner world and the deeper patterns that shape your feelings and relationships.
Each session lasts 45 minutes.
